Why there is no fixed price list
An LED wristband is not a product you pull off a shelf. It is one part of a light show: the wristband itself, the DMX control, the preparation of the show and the logistics before and after the event all belong together. Two events with the same number of guests can end up with very different prices. A single price per piece would be too high for one organiser and too low for another. That is why we work with a tailored quote in which every factor below gets its own line.
One thing always applies: the price per wristband falls as the quantity rises. A club show is costed differently from a festival site.
The six factors that determine the price
1. The number of wristbands
Quantity is the biggest lever. More wristbands means a higher total, but usually a lower price per piece, because the fixed costs (control, preparation, transport) are spread over more guests. Count not only your expected visitors but also crew, VIP areas and a small reserve for defects or late arrivals.
2. Rechargeable or single-use
We have two families. The rechargeable wristbands run for more than 8 hours on a single charge and come back to us after the event, where they are recharged, cleaned and used again. The single-use version runs for more than 5 hours and does not need to be returned. Rechargeable suits multi-day events, recurring shows and organisations that want to limit waste; single-use suits events where return logistics are difficult. Each choice weighs differently on the price, especially combined with the next factor.
3. Renting or buying
With a rental you pay for the use during your event, DMX controller included. With a purchase the wristbands are produced to order for you and remain yours. Buying pays off mainly when you use the wristbands several times, for instance in a fixed venue or at a recurring event. This article puts renting and buying side by side in detail.
4. Personalisation and branding
Your logo and brand colours on the strap turn the wristband into part of your brand experience, and often into a keepsake people hold on to. Personalisation adds a production step, so it is a separate line on the quote. Note that personalisation is not available on the Elastic Rechargeable; it is on the other wristbands.
5. Operator and DMX programming
Someone has to programme the show and run it during the event. If you have your own lighting engineer, they connect the wristbands to the existing lighting desk over DMX512, an open protocol. If you do not, our operator prepares the run sheet and runs the show on site. The more complex the show (several zones, synchronisation with video or music), the more preparation time it involves. Read more in how DMX control works.
6. Transport and return
Delivery on site, collection after the event and gathering the wristbands at the exit are practical costs that depend on where and when your event takes place. We deliver across Europe from Hasselt, Belgium. With rechargeable rentals there is also the return process: the wristbands come back, are recharged and cleaned, and move on to the next event.
How to get a quote quickly
A quote from us is free and without obligation. The more complete your request, the faster and more precise our proposal. This is what we like to know:
- Type of event and the date, or the period if it is not fixed yet.
- Location: city and venue, and whether it is indoors or outdoors.
- Expected number of guests, plus crew and any reserve.
- Rent or buy, or not sure yet: then we will think it through with you.
- Do you want personalisation with a logo or colours?
- Is there a lighting engineer and desk on site, or do you want our operator?
- What should the show achieve: one shared moment, groups in colour, a wave through the venue?
With that information we build a proposal that fits your event, not an average. Fill in the quote form or call us, and we will look at what is feasible together.
What you can prepare in advance
A few things you can arrange yourself so that the quote and the show run smoothly: check with the venue whether a lighting desk is available and who operates it, decide how you will hand out the wristbands (at the entrance, on the seat, at registration) and how you will collect them again for a rental, and think about the moment in your programme where light should make the difference. Have a look at our projects for inspiration: from a product launch with colour-coded groups to a light festival with tens of thousands of visitors.
