A La Marine

The project

For A La Marine in Antwerp, LetsLink added an extra dimension to a major show for a few thousand attendees. On an impressive stage, with well-known Belgian artists on the bill, the wristbands were used as an extra layer on top of the light show itself.

The wristbands run on DMX512, the same protocol as the stage lighting. That allows them to be taken along as an extra layer in the lighting cues: the colours and effects seen on stage carry on into the audience. At a show of this scale, with a few thousand attendees, the venue itself becomes part of the light picture instead of just watching it.
